Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They are the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family.

Beavers enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet together once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony.

Beaver Scout Colonies also organise Sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home. They often take place in suitable buildings, often Scout centres.

Beavers are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, which reflects their aim of ‘fun and friends’ and a positive experience at this stage often encourages young people to continue their journey through Scouting.

In Beaver Scouts we believe that fun, friendship and adventure are what matter most. If you enjoy being creative, playing games, going on visits and discovering the world around you then you’ll love what we do!
