Blyth Valley Challenge

Blyth Valley District are in the fortunate position to have two camping facilities available for you to use, Selby Woods Scout Campsite and Spylaw cottage located on Simonside.

The Blyth Valley Challenge is a hike that includes both facilities. The hike starts at Spylaw and walks across the hillsides and areas of Northumberland to bring you to Selby Woods. The distance is approximately 10 miles and has a number of possible escape routes, so is therefore suitable for a range of walking abilities.

To complete the Challenge you must stay overnight at both sites and complete the journey between by foot. Badges are available from the Selby Wood Campsite Manager.
