Yes absolutely. This is quite common for larger groups or summer camps.Β Please use the online booking system or contact us to discuss.
The Lineker Pavilion is our emergency accommodation.Β
If during your stay there is a reason to use this facility (e.g. extremely bad weather) and it is not safe / suitable for your group to sleep outside or you need a shelter until your group can be picked up, please contact the Campsite Manager.Β
The Campsite Manager will give you the code to access an emergency key.
The speed limit along the track is 5 mph and no more than 2 vehicles are to be parked at the campsite.Β
All other vehicles should be parked at the farm after dropping off equipment (A 5 minute short walk).Β
Please do not allow vehicles to be parked on the grass or on the edges of the farmerβs fields.
Welcome to Selby Woods! We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable and memorable stay. To help protect the site, our neighbours, and each other, please follow these simple guidelines at all times.
Always follow the Scout Law β it guides everything we do on site.
Access to the campsite is via Selby House only.
There is no access from Berry Hill Road.
Please report to the farmers at the farmhouse before heading up to the campsite.
Please keep out of all farmerβs fields unless you have been given permission.
Drive carefully β the speed limit is 5 mph along the track.
A maximum of 2 vehicles may be parked at the campsite.
After unloading, all other vehicles should be parked at the farm.
No parking on grass or field edges, please β this protects the land and crops.
Help us stay good neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum, especially between Β 10:30pm and 7:30am.
The site is home to over 900 trees, part of a Woodland Scheme managed with the Forestry Commission.
Please donβt run or play games among the trees β use the activity field provided.
If any trees are damaged, report this to the Campsite Manager as soon as possible.
Please use water wisely β the supply is metered and paid for per unit.
Never leave taps running. Excessive use or wastage may be charged.
Before leaving, ensure all water and power switches are turned off.
Open fires are only permitted in the raised fire bays provided.
Fires must be kept off the ground to protect the grass.
The Camp Leader is responsible for ensuring suitable fire-fighting measures are in place.
No turf lifting or large campfires unless agreed in advance with the Campsite Manager.
A small amount of wood is provided β please use it sparingly.
Bring your own wood if possible and leave the woodpile tidy.
Provided wood is often pallet wood and not suitable for cooking.
Please allow plenty of time for fires to cool before leaving.
Fire bays must be emptied:
Sieve ash into the metal bin provided (keep the lid on).
Anything left after sieving is rubbish and must be removed from site.
For day visits, ash may still be hot β if so, please inform the Campsite Manager, who will clear the fire bay for you.
Leave all campsites clean, tidy and ready for the next group.
Return all equipment, fire bays and unused wood.
All rubbish that cannot be burnt β including glass, tins and sanitary products β must be taken home for disposal.
Vegetable peelings and teabags may go in the compost bin.
Please no meat, fish or cooked food in the compost.
Please ensure toilets are cleaned before departure.
No dogs are allowed in camping or activity areas unless prior consent has been given.
Any damage or concerns should be reported to the Campsite Manager so they can be dealt with promptly.
