Selby Wood Campsite has been developed with the kind permission and long-standing support of our landowners, Shirley and Bob Potts, who supported Scouting for many years. Without their generosity and trust, Selby Wood Campsite simply would not exist.
Over the years, Selby Wood has enriched countless lives, providing a place where adventures are shared, friendships are formed, and the true spirit of Scouting is able to flourish in everyone who stays here.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who have so generously donated to support Selby Wood Campsite. Your contributions, some of which are listed below, make a real and lasting difference. They help us to maintain, improve, and develop the campsite so that future generations can continue to enjoy it. As a charity, every donation truly matters and goes directly towards supporting Selby Wood Campsite.
On behalf of everyone at Selby Wood Campsite and Blyth Valley District Scouts, thank you for your kindness and continued support.
We are also incredibly grateful to the many volunteers who have given their time, energy, and skills. Your dedication and hard work are invaluable, and the campsite simply would not be what it is today without each and every one of you.
We would like to offer a special thank you to the following:
Solar Shack provided a huge amount of advice as well as Solar Inverter and equipment to Selby Wood. Having reliable onsite generation on site has made a huge difference to the Lineker Pavillion.
For the support and help with electricals throughout the site
For funding allowing the purchase of the Lineker Building.
